This afternoon, former State Representative Ron Hanks received the Colorado Republican Party’s endorsement for Colorado’s Congressional District 3 (CD3) race. Hanks is the only pro-Trump, America First candidate in the CD3 race, and the only candidate with a proven conservative record. He served in the state legislature from 2020-2022 and is a 32-year military veteran with expertise in intelligence and national security issues. He issued the following statement:
Today, I received the endorsement of the Colorado Republican Party. I am grateful for their support, and I will move forward confidently to advance our America First, conservative message.
Victory in 2024 consists of two vital objectives: 1) Trump must win in 2024. 2) A conservative US Congress must assemble and help President Trump enact his MAGA agenda.
I am the most conservative candidate in the CD3 race, and the only candidate with a legislative record. I will keep CD3 conservative, and I will work closely with Rep Boebert and former State Representatives Dave Williams and Janak Joshi – all Trump-endorsed or state party endorsed – to help President Trump drain the swamp.
The Republican Party’s new endorsement process offers unprecedented transparency for the voters of Colorado. It is a major shift in policy. Never before have candidates been asked to provide written responses in order to be considered for endorsement.
No longer are backroom deals the standard. No longer will petition-on candidates hide from voters, then appear suddenly as the party favorite. Shifty candidates with checkered pasts will not be given a pass when they refuse to answer questions about their positions or record. It is a big win for the VOTERS – and they voted for it overwhelmingly at state assembly last month.
I was pleased to complete the GOP questionnaire and provide those answers to our party AND to the voters. I look forward to standing with the other endorsed candidates, with President Trump, and with Colorado’s voters as we ALL Make America Great Again.
